AFTER THE FAIRWAYS, FLORA CONVERSION ON THE GREENS
New European regulations limiting the use of plant protection products mean that we now have to find and implement natural alternatives to pesticides to combat the main turf diseases (fusariosis, anthracnose, dollar spot, etc.).
For many years now, we have been using organic products to make the plant more resistant to attack, but this solution has its limits and remains unpredictable depending on weather conditions (autumn, winter).
That’s why, from this year onwards, we’ll be replanting with AGROSTIS TENUIS, a grass that requires much less water and is much more resistant to disease. In the near future, this addition will limit the negative impact of disease on the surface of the greens.
They will be carried out during the vegetative period (May, June, July, September and October) at a rate of 50 kg/passage, i.e. 250 kg/year for all greens.
Playing will not be disturbed in any way, since these operations will be carried out using equipment perfectly suited to this type of work (terra-Float).
This is a multi-year program that may vary according to the results observed and the quality of each green.
